Hello all!I have an unusual 'cosmetic' problem that I am looking for some assistance with.By way of preface:I have a very pretty customized games folder on my desktop that uses full-size dock icons for all of the games (160 of them).Windows 7 has an obnoxious glitch in which it (eventually) shrinks the full-size icons for URL shortcuts. No problem with standard.exe shortcuts, but URL shortcuts end up being shrunk down after a few days or a couple weeks.

It looks terrible because you have all of these beautiful large artistic icons interrupted by a few random miniscule ones.As you're all aware, shortcuts created within Steam are URL shortcuts, and they are therefore prone to this problem. However, I have gotten around this very easily in most cases by simply going into the installation files of the games on my hard drive and creating shortcuts to the main.exe files (e.g.

HL!UL!SL - Half-Life: Uplink for Steam HL!UL!SL (formerly SteamLink) is an effort to run Half-Life: Uplink, Half-Life 's single-player demo campaign from 1998, in Steam as easily as possible, while leaving it as true to the original demo as possible.

Torchlight.exe), rather than using Steam shortcuts. /prefaceI finally bought Orange Box yesterday ($5 on Gamefly - yes please), and I noticed that the only.exe file for all five games is 'hl2.exe.' However, creating a shortcut to this.exe only launches vanilla HL2.Perhaps there is some additional command that can be added to the shortcut target of 'hl2.exe' that will tell it to launch Ep 1, Ep 2, Portal, or TF2 instead, but I don't know what this would be or how to find out.If you can provide any assistance here, I would be greatly appreciative. The game to be launched needs to be specified on the command line:Half-Life 2: hl2.exeHL2 Lost Coast: hl2.exe -game lostcoastHL2 Episode 1: hl2.exe -game episodicHL2 Episode 2: hl2.exe -game ep2Portal: hl2.exe -game portalFor HL: Source and TF2, I think the game parameter is hl1 and tf2, respectively.

Portal and TF2 have a separate hl2.exe in their installation directories, but the others share SteamAppscommonHalf-Life 2hl2.exe.HL2/episodes and Portal will actually run even without the Steam client (of course, like in offline mode, with achievements disabled).
